user may not always be right, as a designer should understand user's mental model, how they understand applications and how applications really work. at the start point, designer should focus on situation-centric approach, which means solving the major needs. and when few feedback request new feature doesn't stand for majority, so designer don't have to change anything, it may pleasure the few and irritate the most.
the course project basically ask us to improve the existing work. so i think the best way to do situation-centric approach search is looking for the complain and feedback. and integrate the most common feedback, then decide which part to focus o.
