As my Facebook homepage design, there was a mouse hover function which allows user to view different channels's video in the same page. In user's mental model, user might want to click the button with channel's name displayed on it, but when user's mouse over the button, the video displayed on homepage automatically change, then user would learn they don't need to click the button and just move mouse over it.
the easiest way to put different channel's video on the homepage is either list each channel's video in a row or just put them into different web location. in order to get my goal would take web developer much more time working on code to build this dynamic homepage.
What about the implementation model? How might it differ from the mental model you described?
