-Support the User's Mental Models-

The user's mental model is that the comment box allows them to comment by signing in anonymously, with their Gmail account, or other email account. The user does not worry about what kind of technology goes into making the pages appear, the options that are given to the user, or the programming that allows these actions and interactions to occur. The user just understands that it works. Thus, the user knows they can comment with different options given to them but not how it works. 

On the other end of the spectrum, are the programmers who make the actions of commenting on YouTube possible. The user's mental model contrasts with the implementation model of the programmers because the programmers know the ins and outs of the design. Their implementation model appeals to them but not to the users due to the complexity and the ability to understand and speak the language of the technology given.
